LAST BAND STANDING is back! We’re looking for the best band in the Midsouth. Bands will submit demos with the hopes of being selected for this year’s outstanding competition. Bands will be selected prior to the festival and the winning bands will compete against each other during the festival Thursday, April 19, 2012 – Saturday, April 21, 2012 to determine the ultimate winner. Located on Strawberry Alley in Downtown Clarksville.
LBS is sponsored by No Egrets Tattoo and B.A. Wolfe Powersports. Bands submitted demos to Z97.5. Eight bands were selected to perform at Rivers & Spires in Clarksville on April 19 & 20 with the two finalists competing on April 21. It all happens on the Strawberry Alley Stage.
Four will compete on Thursday night, and the other 4 will compete on Friday night. Each band will be required to peform a 30 minute set. NO PROFANITY ALLOWED. (Seriously). All members of the band must be 18 or older and be residents of KY or TN with a valid article of state idendification, or have a valid military ID. The winning bands from each night will play a final set on Saturday night of the festival to determine the winner. The Last Band Standing will win $1,000, and second place picks up $500.
