Singers and songwriters abound on the streets of Tennessee. Clarksville wants to show the world the latest and greatest, the upcoming and the waiting to be discovered. If you are a songwriter, then you have come to the right place. If you love to be on the forefront of new music, then these activities are for you.
The Next Great Songwriter Search
Back again, this songwriter competition features local talent who want to know if they’ve got what it takes to make it in the music business.
Every country song starts with an idea, pencil, paper, and a guitar. The search is on in Beaver Country for the NEXT GREAT SONGWRITER sponsored by Gary Mathews Chrysler Jeep Dodge and Ram. This year, The Beaver 100.3 and the Rivers & Spires Festival will hold a competition for area songwriters.
All of those selected will perform at the Rivers & Spires Festival in Clarksville on Saturday, April 17. If you want to be in the contest, you must audition at one of our Audition Stops. All contestants must be 18 or older and be a resident of Kentucky or Tennessee. All songs must be original, and you can have no more than one other person play an instrument with you, but he or she cannot sing. At each Audition Stop, 10 songwriters will be selected to compete at the Final Event on April 17 at Rivers & Spires in Clarksville. Here are the Audition Stops…
