Daymar Institute and Rivers & Spires are excited to host the Second Annual STEP OFF! This event is an opportunity to display the artistic skills of step teams throughout the region. This competition is about the display of attitude, creativitiy, showmanship, skill, respect, dedication and enthusiasm for the history of stepping and hip hop!
THE CONTEST:
Step teams will compete in each category of the “Stompin in the Alley” Step Show on April 21 at 3:00pm. There will be two categories: Best Step Team (competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place) and Best Spirit Award. Teams may be comprised of all males, all females, or co-ed.
ELIGIBILITY:
For 2012 the competition is open to participants that are at least 10-19 years of age (or able to prove enrollment in 5-12 grades in school).
HOW TO ENTER:
Submit registration form to Daymar Institute (download registration information here-pdf) or apply online.
JUDGING:
A panel of judges will critique all eligible teams. Judges may include Greek sororities or fraternities, event staff, local celebrity guests or similar personalities. Judging is based on several categories as outlined in the registration information here (pdf).
PRIZES:
Winning teams will receive the following:
First Place Trophy, Major Local Performance Opportunity, Cash Prize.
Second Place Trophy and Cash Prize

Spirit Award Plaque and Cash Prize
