Fun, family-friendly and always free, the award winning Rivers & Spires Festival is among the largest of its kind in the Southeast. Our formula is simple: mix a healthy dose of local culture with arts and heritage and activities for all ages. Then, spread all the music you can hear in two days across multiple stages throughout the streets historic downtown Clarksville, Tennessee.
The name Rivers & Spires honors the beauty of our downtown skyline, featuring the Cumberland River and a historic downtown dotted with churches, a courthouse, museum and other incredible buildings.
Our city changed forever on January 22, 1999 when a devastating F4 tornado ravaged Historic Downtown Clarksville. A total of 515 structures were damaged resulting in nearly $73 million in damages.
Over the next four years, rebuilding efforts were robust and culminated in the need for a celebration of our treasured Historic Downtown. From this concept, the Rivers & Spires Festival was born.
It is our #1 priority to keep this even FREE and OPEN to the public. No gate fees, show tickets or no hidden charges. Food and beverages are the only potential expense. This makes the Festival one of the most economical family events in the Southeast.
We also don’t sacrifice on entertainment. Past headliners include Little Big Town, Lee Greenwood, Diamond Rio, Charlie Daniels Band, Clint Black and many other big names.
