Rivers & Spires brings a wide variety of events to the streets of downtown Clarksville. We are still working a full line-up of events for 2016 (check back for more information), but here are some of the events you can expect:
Come and shop with us in Historic Downtown Clarksville to find all kinds of unique art from local and regional artists. All pieces are handcrafted and/or homemade. Mediums include: woodworking, pottery, paintings, illustrations, fabric/clothing, jewelry, furniture and much more.
Gearheads will delight in the Motor Madness that takes over the Festival streets! This year’s Festival features: Memory Lane Cruisers featuring vintage vehicles of all makes and models.
Rivers and Spires Children’s Parade is back again! Here to entertain children 12-years-old and under and their families! Characters in costume, small floats and walkers are all part of the annual Rivers & Spires Festival Children’s Parade.
Family Fun Zone
Travel through our inflatable jungle, climb velcro walls, paint, create, or participate in all kinds of interactive entertainment! The area is filled with over 60 FREE events for kids of all ages to enjoy. Special children’s entertainers will perform on Friday and Saturday at various times.
Fiber Fast Gaming
Gamers of all ages and abilities will flock to Gig City Gaming sponsored by CDE Lightband! The underground parking garage on Franklin Street, between Second and Third Streets, will be transformed into a gigantic video gaming zone! There is a game and a console for everyone.
The diverse cultures of the Clarksville community are showcased in an array of costumes, dance, food and visual arts. Festival of Nations is a whole world of culture, cuisine and entertainment in one area. Among the diverse regions represented are cultural experiences from Hawaii, Japan, Panama, China, India, Africa, the Phillipines, Germany, Mexico, Puerto Rico and many more!
Last Band Standing
This rock and roll competition grows every year! Hundreds of bands from around the region submit their songs to Z 97.5and those selected play on stage in a Battle of the Bands competition. Audience and guest judges choose the winner!
Open on Friday and Saturday the Marketplace is a plethora of vendors selling everything from sunglasses to antiques. This flea-market inspired area is a bargain shoppers paradise!
One of the founding goals of the Rivers & Spires Festival is to honor our Soldiers. Second Street and the Courthouse parking lot is host to the “Military Zone”. Children of all ages will delight in the interactive displays and activities. Everyone can feel a sense of pride when they see the dedication and commitment these Soldiers have to their country.
Quilts of the Cumberland
This FREE art show features quilts of all shapes and sizes. The artistic beauty of these pieces will amaze you. Juried exhibitions as well as non-juried exhibitions will take place at this year’s show. Those interested in participating in the exhibition may fill out an application.
Q108 Foam Party
The fun kick off Thursday night where we party and dance the night away. Come early to hang out with Taylor X. DJ Scott Chase will be rocking the tunes during the foam party. As with ALL of our events and performances at the Rivers and Spires Festival this is FREE and open to the public!
The Sports Zone is an area for all ages that includes interactive athletic games and sporting activities. Located in the area between Third Street and Main Street the Sports Zone will be filled with athletic themed inflatables, games to test your sporting skills and activities for every member of your family!

Snow King Slide
That’s right. Snow in April! It isn’t too far off for Tennessee right? This snow you will enjoy a lot more, we promise. The new attraction will be located in the lower parking lot of the City Hall Building below Arts Galore.
This competition is about the display of attitude, creativity, showmanship, skill, respect, dedication and enthusiasm for the history of stepping and hip hop!
